Welcome to the ALC website
The Auburn Lions Club was chartered on May 29, 1928 and since then have been involved in numerous projects locally.
- 1930's we helped improve safety at Auburn City Bridges and Railroad Crossings.
- 1940's we help established a permanent War Memorial at the DeKalb Courthouse rotunda.
- 1950's we raised $25,000 to establish the Thomas Little League Park. We also raised $5,000 for the DeKalb Memorial Hospital building fund.
- 1960's we sponsored City Halloween projects that served 1800 children.
- 1970's we started supporting Lions State Projects such as Cancer Control and Eye Bank.
- 1980's and 1990's we've continued to support Lions State Projects, local eyeglass needs, DeKalb High School College Scholarships and local 4H Auction.
- 2000's we donated $19,000 for Rieke Park 'Tot's Playground'. We became an LCIF 'Model Club' for Lions Campaign Sight First II for addressing worldwide sight issues.
